Stetson Miller for The SPOKE
Berwyn, Paoli, Malvern and East Whiteland Fire Companies were called to the Main Line Berwyn Apartments late Tuesday afternoon to quell a roof fire in apartment building C.
Flames from the five-story building could be seen from Conestoga, Fire Police Captain Mike Baskin said. Firefighters used three ladders to reach the roof to assist residents from the building. No injuries were reported.
The blaze took about an hour to contain, with additional firefighters being called in to help with the evacuation process. Choppers from ABC, NBC and CBS could be seen circling the building.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, though it is believed to be accidental.

Stetson, this is great! Good writing, good coverage! And you got a byline! You are carrying on the family tradition of journalists (your Great Uncle Jack Kerkhoff was a reporter for several New York City newspapers, voted Best Rewrite Man in the city (he wrote the stories when reporters phoned in
the news from out in the city). Anyway, I am very proud that you are doing this and I am very proud of you!
Love, Grammy
